How to Use the Zakat Calculator
Follow these simple steps to calculate your Zakat:
- Select Currency: Choose your local currency (e.g., PKR, USD, etc.).
- Select Nisab Type: Pick either Gold or Silver as your Nisab base.
- Enter Your Financial Details:
- Cash in Hand & Bank – Total cash savings.
- Gold (if any) – Enter total value of gold you own.
- Silver (if any) – Enter total value of silver you own.
- Trade Goods / Business Stock – If applicable, enter the total value of business inventory.
- Receivable Loans (optional): Amount you’ve given to others that you expect to be repaid.
- Enter Your Liabilities (Debts): Amount you owe that is due within the next 12 months.
- Click “Calculate Zakat” – The tool will compute your Net Worth and check if it meets the Nisab threshold.
If your wealth is above the Nisab, the calculator will show your total net worth and how much Zakat (2.5%) you need to pay.
If it’s below Nisab, you will see a red message saying:
“Your wealth is below the Nisab.”
